Northernlands 3 - The State of Digital Health
About Herko Coomans
International Digital Health Coordinator, Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport of The Netherlands
Herko Coomans is a digital health policy officer who builds international alliances and partnerships at the Netherlands Ministry of Health, Welfare, and Sport in The Hague. He is an advocate of less talk and more action, challenging himself and those around him to go outside their comfort zone.
Between 2013 and 2017 he co-created and enabled the National Health Information Council, the “whole system in the room” public-private governance council setting the course for patient access, interoperability, and health information exchange in The Netherlands. He has 15 years of experience with e-government development but has found his heart is in digital health and innovation.
After the conference we would really appreciate your feedback about what you found useful and what we could do in the future.
Nothernlands 3 is a collaboration between ODI Leeds and The Kingdom of the Netherlands, the start of activity to create, support, and amplify the cultural links between The Netherlands and the North of England. It is with their generous and vigourous support, and the support of other energetic organisations, that Northernlands can be delivered.
